Meet Lola,
Lola is around 4.5 yrs of age & a Beagle x Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Lola has been in care for 7 months. She didn't come from the best situation as she was rescued from a puppy farm. Lola is extremely fearful of people, men in particular. She's come a long way in 7 months but still has a long way to go in her rehabilitation. Lola is a little overweight & tends to be a guts, she has lost some weight since coming into care. She does not feel comfortable inside but is slowly getting better with short stints inside with the family. She's great with my young children & our cats, she actually doesn't pay any attention to the cats. Lola is very affectionate once she feels comfortable with you, in fact she likes to be centre of attention & will push her foster siblings out of the way for a cuddle. She is dog friendly but usually takes a day or two to warm to new canine friends in her environment. Lola is pretty good on the lead & travels ok in the car (can get car sick), she's not scared of storms either. She's excellent to bath & seems to like the water. Lola will be a great companion with a little time & patience. A confident canine companion in her new home would be beneficial I feel as she will learn positive behaviours a lot quicker. Lola show's no interest in toys or balls but will steal you shoe or the kids toys if you leave them laying around. She usually just hides them.. I think she would be best suited to a female only home or males under the age of 10. She copes being left while we're at work but we are not gone extremely long hours. Lola is up to date with vaccinations, flea/worm treatments. She is microchipped & desexed.

Lola has just been diagnosed with hip dysplasia of both hips, the left being rather bad. She has a limp at the moment & has recently completed a course of anti-inflammatory medication & is also nearly finished a course of 4 injections to help with this also. Her long term care plan would consist of - weight loss, food formulated for her condition, course of injections several times a year, daily glucosamine & eventually she may need long term pain meds. She can have short daily walks & swimming is highly recommended.
Adoption details
Prospective owners contact carers via email or phone, they can come and meet the animal and make application.
Once the animal is desexed and all vet work is done the animal can be adopted.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
