About Shanna
ACTIVE HOME NEEDED FOR STUNNING SENIOR SHANNA
Introducing the lovely Shanna, who is an extremely high energy dog, especially considering she is a senior of 10 years of age. She stresses if she is not given considerable daily exercise and is used to walks and runs of 5km or more each day. She loves water (and even enjoys going kayaking) and, given the opportunity, will come along with her backpack and help with the shopping!
Shanna barks when meeting new people in her home environment but if she is allowed the time to come to you, she soon warms up. Shanna has predominantly been an outside dog, however she did spend a few years living in an apartment and did well, as she is very well house trained and was well exercised.
Since Shanna is such an energetic girl, she would be most happy with an active family – short walks around the block are not enough to drain her energy as she is used to running long distances on a daily basis. She is a very clever girl who enjoys obedience exercises as it helps drain her energy and stimulate her mind.
Shanna has been around children before, so she would be fine in a family with kids who are experienced with large breeds. Shanna is not good with cats and will chase them so will need to placed in a home that is feline free! She has not had a lot of socialisation with other dogs, so she needs a home as either an only dog, or with a placid and chilled-out large breed boy.
Shanna is highly obedient however there is only one problem …. she currently only knows her commands in Polish! Not to worry, with treats and training, she will soon learn them in English! Shanna is a lovely girl and as you can see, there’s a lot of life left is this sassy senior! If you feel she might just be your perfect match, then please fill in an Adoption Application on our website with as much information as possible – Shanna is so keen to find her forever family and has so much love to give. www.gsrv.com.au
