About Sheldon (Cat/Dog/Child friendly)
Meet Sheldon! a 14 mth old Purebred Australian Bulldog. Sheldon was a private surrender to Wally's Doggie Rescue and is now on the look out for his forever home.
Sheldon is living in a family environment with children aged 7 years and 9 years. 7 other dogs and puppies and 3 cats. Sheldon has a beautiful temperament and fine with everything!
Sheldon has striking green and gold eyes and a layed back personality typical to the breed. Sheldon is loving and smoochy and will try to be your lap dog, despite his size. Sheldon is always happy and outgoing and loves the company of other dogs and children. Sheldon does not like aggressive dogs or barking dogs, they scare him and his instincts is to run away. Sheldon would not cope with a large boisterous dog, and requires a small to medium submissive dog, if he was to be re homed with another dog. Sheldon sleeps inside in his crate of an evening and is outside with his canine friends during the day.
Sheldon loves his food and is currently being fed a prescription diet of Royal Canine, which he will need to stay on in his new home, and has a special bowl, so he doesn't eat to fast. Sheldon despite his previous health concerns and surgery, will go on to live a normal doggie life, and is a LOW ENERGY dog.
Sheldon does have some MEDICAL ISSUES, so please consider these before sending an email to his foster carer. If you have another dog, we require a meet and greet with Sheldon to ensure they get along.
Please send a detailed email about yourself and home environment, to ensure a quicker response to your email and arranged meet and greet. Sheldon is a handsome boy, who has had all his vetwork completed and is available for adoption today!

Sheldon has a congenital spinal defect, in which his spine isin't as long as it should be and he has some nerve damage to his back legs as a result. So when Sheldon walks, he does on occasion drag his back legs and does have incontinent issues of urine and fecal matter.
With a prescription diet and limited water of an evening, this can be controlled and managed well. Sheldon can not help his toileting when in the house, and does like to be with his humans. His foster Mum is trialing some pull ups on him and doggie suspenders to control his toileting in the house.
Sheldon did also have a congenital elbow laxation repair surgery attended, with his previous owners and has permanent pins and plates instu.
Adoption details
When enquiring about Sheldon, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Sheldon.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
