Rocky ~ Cattle dog (on trial 4/10/16)

Meet the adorable Rocky! Rocky is a well-mannered 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog boy.

Rocky is an energetic puppy, but at the end of the day he loves nothing more than to snuggle up with you. Like most cattle dogs, when you are home Rocky loves to be near you all the time. He follows his foster parents around the house and likes to sleep on the kitchen floor while his foster mum cooks dinner.

Rocky’s favourite past time is playing ball! He also knows how to bring the ball back and will drop the ball near your feet to start the game all over again.

Rocky understands basic commands like sit, but he is still a puppy and he can sometimes become distracted. Rocky would love for his furever family to continue his training as he is a very smart dog and picks things up quickly. Since coming into foster care, Rocky’s foster parents have been working on his house training, and although he still has one or two accidents in the house, he is learning very quickly.

Rocky came into care from the pound and can be a little timid when meeting people and other dogs for the first time. He is currently in foster care with 3 other dogs and gets along well with them. Rocky is very affectionate and loves children, although due to his size his foster parents would recommend older children or children who have experience with larger dogs.

Rocky is quite happy to be outside during the day and sleeps inside at night. Rocky will need a secure yard with high fencing. He would make the perfect addition to any family.
