Rocky is on hold pending adoption.

Rocky is a 7 year old desexed male registered purebred German shepherd currently in care at Newcastle and through no fault of his own looking for his new forever home.

While Rocky is loving and attentive with adults and would be a wonderful companion dog Rocky unfortunately does not tolerate little children so he would be best suited to a home with adults who know and understand this breed.

We would also prefer that Rocky should be an only dog as he has not received allot of socialisation with other dogs and he is not good with cats or other smaller pets.

Rocky knows his basic obedience but he would benefit from further obedience training. He is a big strong dog so he would need a strong capable owner who has had plenty of experience.

As we expect for all our rescue dogs we do not want him to go to a home where he has to guard the property and he must be in a home where someone is home most of the time.
