Rookie

Meet Rookie a 4 year old purebred German Shepherd Dog who through no fault of his own is looking for a new home. There has been a family break up and due to difficulty in finding rental premises that will take dogs, his owner has made the sad decision to give him up.

He is a lovely dog with people and children but can get very excited when he is out and about as he has not had a lot of obedience training. That is easily fixed if he goes to a home with an experienced owner who are prepared to take him to obedience classes. He is a very good natured dog and will benefit from living in a home where someone is home most of the time and he can have his own space in the house with the rest of the family.

Because he has a lovely soft nature he is not a natural guard dog so please don’t contact us if you are after a guard dog to look after your property while the family is out all day. He is not great with other dogs or cats so please an only home at the moment.

If you have had plenty of experience with this breed and you feel you can offer the best home then please contact us. If you are after a youngish dog that has grown out of the puppy stage then Rookie could be the lad for you.
