About Benji (Dog Friendly)
Meet Benji, a gorgeous Mastiff mix of 18mths of age saved from Singleton Pound, by Wally's Doggie Rescue.
Benji is in foster care in a family environment, with a foster host female GSD.
Benji's personality is described as non dominant and friendly to all. Benji is very playful with other dogs, and loved by his humans and enjoys daily walks. Benji is an adult dog, and is quite independent and happy for his family to work full time, without being destructive and needy. Benji is LOW ENERGY level and would suit an older family, who isin't as active, and entertains himself.
We suspect that Benji has spent his whole life in a backyard and hasn't seen the outside world. He is nervous upon experiencing new suuroundings for the first time, but after the same thing a couple of times, he looses his fears, like the beach. Benji was terrified of the beach the first time, but now LOVES it! Benji loves chew toys and bones!
Benji is good on lead and stops and sits on the corner, until directed to walk. He is improving on the stay command and has good RECALL in the backyard environment. Benji is INSIDE TOILET TRAINED.
The perfect forever home would be someone who can give him attention. Benji is great with children and gentle . Benji is a cuddly boy and does enjoy the company of another dog, and children to fuss over him.

When enquiring about Benji, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Benji.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
