Meet Pinot - a sweet-natured, intelligent, affectionate little guy who just worships humans. Everyone who meets him falls head over heels in love!
Pinot loves his walks, treats and belly rubs. He is a fairly independent fellow, happiest whenever people are around. He's got a gorgeous friendly personality, is perpetually curious and gets on well with other dogs so long as they are respectful of his space.
If you're looking for a companion who loves to be out and about and is also an adoring little lapdog, then Pinot might be the one for you!
MY IDEAL HOME: I love to be around my humans as much as possible! I thrive in a calm environment, no crazy parties for me - I'll just take myself off to (your) bed when I'm ready. :)
Although I get on well with other dogs, I would prefer to be your 'only one' (my original home was shared and I sometimes felt forgotten).
I love pottering about outside and sunbaking, so ideally my new family will have a secure yard for me. My foster mum says I'm a smarty pants and learn quickly, so hopefully I can continue some training in my new home - the treats are my favourite part!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. I love chasing birds and running around, but also snoozing wherever my people are! Two walks a day would be heaven, but a big one is okay too - I love running off my leash but need to be supervised as I can get a little lost - SO MANY BIRDIES!!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I don't mind kids so long as they know to treat me with kindness, gentleness and respect. I don't like lots of noise either, so older kids would be best.
MY SUITABILITY TO DOGS AND CATS: I'm good with other dogs but I'd like to meet them first, and would prefer to be the only dog at home. (I'm pretty small, but I love saying a friendly hello to all the really big boofers at the park!)
Cats and me don't really mix, unfortunately.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form. For Cats: https://aus1.sheltermanager.com/service?account=st0130&method=online_form_html&formid=1
For Dogs: https://aus1.sheltermanager.com/service?account=st0130&method=online_form_html&formid=3
Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
