About Dane *On Trial in His New Home*
*DANE IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet delightful Dane! This handsome boy will bring a lucky someone so much love and happiness; will it be you???
Dane is described as a loyal pup who enjoys curling up in his deckchair in the shed watching “the boss” while he’s working. This boy thrives on love and cuddles, and will tap your hand if you stop patting him as if to say “hey I want more loving please!”. He is well-behaved around children and visitors – he’s described by his foster carers as an old soul in a pup’s body as he’s never really gone through that annoying puppy biting stage. Dane also loves spending time with the other pups he’s in care with; they romp and play for hours on end before snuggling up together for a well-deserved snooze.
While in foster care Dane has learnt ‘sit’, ‘come’ and ‘gentle’ and he walks well on a lead enjoying getting out and about. He also loves a run down the river and has terrific recall when off lead – he definitely knows his name! Dane travels well in a car and is housetrained so would love a home where he could continue to enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle – cuddles on the couch at night with his humans are the best! He is crate-trained and happily goes in there at bedtime where he then snores the night away – he’s been known to snore rather loudly!
Our vets aren’t sure what breeds make up this great-natured pup; perhaps there’s some Mastiff, maybe some Ridgeback with a splash of Bull Arab or even Staffy thrown in for good measure, but whatever it is it’s a wonderful combo making Dane an awesome all-rounder!
Dane is used to having company and isn’t fond of being alone so a forever home with another dog would be perfect or even a home where he could go to work with his humans, or if they worked from home that would suit him too. After a tough start to life (diet issues) Dane is now doing well on regular puppy food, treats and bones. As he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up having lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, toys to play with and lots of cuddles will make Dane very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
