About Rosie
Rosie arrived into care after having spent months in the pound which she did not cope very well with. She was very afraid of almost anything that moved or made a noise and would hide behind anyone she trusted to save her. Since settling in over the past few weeks Rosie has begun to relax. She now will run up the yard with the other dogs to see what they are doing (she would hide on the veranda previously when the others ran and barked) and happily joins in when her mates play in the yard. She is relaxing more with everyday sounds she would have previously been jumpy around.
Like most big dogs Rosie is a quiet gentle giant (she is about the same size as our Labrador). Rosie knows how to sit and shake hands - especially if she knows you have a treat. She loves all her people and her doggy friends and has even met the resident cats without so much as giving them a second glance (cat prefers it that way). Rosie loves to play and will chase her doggy friends and try to play with her human friends at every opportunity.
Rosie would be best suited to a household that has a human or doggy friend home with her a lot of the time as she prefers not to be left alone. She would be happy to be inside but also likes to be outside to see the world go by.
