About Ollie Adoption Pending
Ollie is a beautifully behaved girl despite the fact that she has just been parted from her owner of 9 1/2 years. She is calm but still has a playful streak and would very much enjoy daily walks and playing tug of war and fetch..
Ollie is house trained, knows all the basic requests to sit, lay down and come when called but wait, you also get, a dog who walks quite good on lead and doesn't jump up you and loves being brushed. In her current foster home she is enjoying hours of wandering in the garden exploring but she also loves to be inside with the people and cats. She shows no inclination whatsoever toward attempting to leave the yard..
Despite her previous owner saying she had signs of arthritis in her back end, Ollie is having no trouble negotiating the 7 stairs up and down the foster carers back porch, however, she has flinched and given a warning when touched on her back end and we suggest she should go to a home with no young children.
Ollie's ideal new home would be someone retired or who works from home or, who has another dog, as she is used to daily companions. A meet with your existing male dog (females generally do not get along) would be advised but she had a doggy friend in her previous home.
Ollie was very stressed at first but settled quickly and learnt her new routines well; she will make someone a wonderfully loving, playful and 'instant' dog.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
