Rosie is a beautiful 4 year old Border Collie x Kelpie. She has a friendly and trusting nature at heart but is nervous of new people until she warms up to them. For this reason she'd be best suited to a patient and calm owner who can understand that she may take time to fully commit to complete obedience.

Rosie would love a best friend who can spend lots of time with her playing and cuddling - she needs someone who will be with her a lot of the time. Rosie loves the outdoors as her breed entails and will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, so active people would suit her best. Rosie gets along with male dogs but again takes time to trust and also needs her space. Rosie likes to communicate with a low rumble/growl, instead of barking.

Rosie would benefit from a household which can provide her with a safe, warm inside space of her own such as a crate where she can go if she feels unsafe or nervous. She also perceives loud noises as punishment so level-headed discipline is integral.

Rosie is toilet trained but needs continued positive reinforcement as she is not confident "going" in front of a human. This is probably to do with being aggressively punished for having accidents indoors and so its important the owner realises she will have accidents if this isn't taken into consideration.

Overall, with the right treatment and a patient, experienced owner, Rosie has infinite amounts of love to give.
