About Georgie
George was found in the bush, trapped in barbed wire. He had been there some time when found,so came into rescue in a very traumatised state. He has made wonderful progress, and is now a relaxed & happy little boy looking for a family to love!
george’s coat was very matted and he had several very big and nasty splinters, which had embedded themselves into his skin. They were full of puss and infected. He is feeling much better now that these have been removed and his puncture wounds from the barbed wire have all healed well with antibiotics. George is ready for the good life and is looking for a human family who are eager to provide him with a safe and caring home. He is a sweet little boy and will shower his new owners with cuddles and love. As you can see by his picture, he loves snuggling up to you and finding that perfect position on your lap. George is toilet trained which is a big plus as he will need to be an inside dog. He has plenty of energy and will need a daily walk. He is very adventurous and loves a good run off the lead. He recalls well, so having him off the lead is stress free. He travels well in the car and can use a doggy door. George loves to meet new doggy friends and is very social when at the park. He would make an excellent second dog. George has a low shedding coat, which is wonderful, as he does not leave hair on your cloths or the couch!!!
george will need to be taken to the groomers every 2-3 months for a clip to ensure he never again has to experience the pain of neglect. After all george has been through,he deserves a happt ever after. If you can offer george the love and care he needs, please call after 4. 30pm during the week (unfortunately i cannot take calls prior to this time) or call anytime over the weekend. George has had the following vet work:
-general health check (heart, teeth, eyes etc all good)
-annual vaccination
-heart worm tested(negative for heart worm)
-annual vaccination for heart worm
-desexed
-given intestinal worming tablet
-given flea treatment
-clipped and ready to go!
Medical notes
George developed kennel cough soon after coming into care. The poor boy has been through so much, this was the last thing he needed. If this wasn't enough he had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics which sent us straight back to the vets for another visit. George however is a real trooper and is on the mend. He will be 100% fit very soon!!!!
