Mr Alex is a cheeky little fella who always seems to have his tongue poking out. He is a very curious boy who loves to try new things and explore this big new world. He loves to play with his siblings and can often be found at the bottom of the spoon pile.
The Maremma Sheepdog is said to be aloof, independent and protective of its family and territory. The breed was developed to protect livestock & poultry. Maremma's are large dogs, some can weigh up to 50kg fully grown.
Our Maremma's have a few adoption requirements so please only apply if you can provide the following.
*Prior knowledge or understanding of gaudian dog breeds, new owner must be consistant with training and socialisation- this breed is not for a first time owner.
*New Owner MUST enrol the puppy into puppy school/trainining, this also includes classes throughout the life.
*Must be included inside with the family, these dogs will NOT be outside only dogs and must have large yards.
*Maremma's are not for fulltime workers and love lots of affection and attention.
*If bored, Maremma's are prone to bark so the owner must be willing to provide LOTS of exercise and mental stimulation.
*These puppies are very social and so will need to go to a new home with another dog.

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
