About Samantha
Samantha is a beautiful girl who needs a special opportunity.
Samantha has been in foster care to help her develop a trust in humans and build up her confidence. She came to us from a country pound and we don't think she has had a lot of human interaction.
With lots of love and understanding she is improving more each day.
Her carers have given her space and time and let her come to them when she is ready to do so without pushing her. She is now jumping on the couch to be with them for cuddles and snuggles up to them for pats.
She is not at all happy about being picked up as it makes her feel very insecure so we have respected that and she gets to keep four paws safely on the ground
Samantha will be looking for an understanding and patient home where she will be given the same opportunities and not have a lot of expectations put on her too quickly. She is a lovely girl who is gaining trust in people and its is very important that she will still be given the time she needs to help her continue down this very positive path.
Samantha will benefit greatly from a home where someone will be home most of the day to spend lots of time with her so she receives lots of human company.
Obedience training would also be a great benefit to her to help with her socialisation and help her gain trust and create a wonderful bond with her new family
She gets along well with other dogs and a desexed mature confident male dog would be a good companion to help her continue developing her own confidence and show her what a happy life is all about.
She has been in care with cats and wants to chase them so she will be looking for a home with no cats
She has been going on outings to explore the world and has been having a great time with her carers still keeping her wellbeing in mind and being aware of how she is finding each different situation.
She walks very nicely on lead and stays in tune to hers carers the whole time. Bikes and cars are something she is not at all keen on so a home in a quiet neighbourhood where she can go for walks without feeling too much pressure would be ideal for her.
Samantha has not had the opportunity to be around children and we believe she may find them too overwhelming so she will be looking for a home with no young children.
Samantha is currently living mostly indoors, spending her time in her crate as a 'safe place' with the company of her foster carers. She is not fully toilet trained but she is a very smart girl and is catching on quickly.
Please read the above information carefully and if you think you can offer Samantha her special home we look forward to hearing from you.
Only homes that meet the above requirements will be considered
Samantha is currently in Abbottsford
