About Oscar
Oscar is a very typical loving dachshund who would like to go as only dog where he’s going to get lots of attention, love and cuddles. Oscar spent the first year of his life being abused and neglected by his owners as well as being malnourished before finding his way to his current home where he has been for the last 5 years. He is living with another dachshund, female, but unfortunately there have been some fights between them as Oscar doesn’t like to share his humans with other dogs. For this reason his distraught owners are now having to rehome him.
Oscar has a history of small seizures which are brought on if he gets a fright and is caught unawares. He has been investigated by the vets and there is nothing that can be done and no medication needed although a healthy diet has proved to help enormously. The seizures are small and might last 5 minutes until he comes out of it and carries on as normal.
He loves children and will just roll over and wait for the tummy rubs although we would suggest a home where there are no toddlers. Oscar also loves humans, is very friendly once you’re through the door and have been given the owner’s approval, then Oscar will also approve of you! When he’s out walking he can pull a bit on the lead and can also bark at other dogs but will respond to your commands once you’ve got his attention.
He is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped
