About Spots - Loves Kids!
Spots is looking for a loving foster or forever family!
He is a big love bug an amazing dog who loves kids and his humans he currently has a strong bond with his foster carers 10 year old daughter. He is very gentle & affectionate, he loves to play and wrestle and give lots of kisses especially when you sit on the floor with him.
Spots is great with humans but is reactive to other dogs, he wasn't socialised as a puppy so when he meets a dog he barks and reacts as he isn't sure how to relate. Spots is looking for a dedicated foster carer who has the time to spend with him to help him get more comfortable with other dogs, take him to weekly training sessions and practise daily what you learn.
Spots is a big sook who loves cuddles and pats on his head and a good tummy rub. He is an active 18 month boy who loves to run around in the yard, go for walks or a run and play tug of war with his number one favourite toy a rope with a ball attached. He is a very intelligent dog, he is doing great with his obedience training learning how to sit lay down and sit before crossing the road, he just loves his food and treats! Oh treats. Yum. He is alert and will usually bark to let you know if there’s anyone or anything around, doing his job protecting his family.
The perfect forever or foster family for Spots will be active with active kids and no other dogs, have a larger home and yard, plenty of love in their hearts, with the time to spend with him training and have a nice big warm bed for him to sleep on in the lounge or in your room.
They must also be patient, willing to offer him more training and be understanding of his needs and the environments he is comfortable in. Spots would benefit from more intensive training to teach him how to play and socialise with other dogs and to brush up on his manners, You will need to gain his trust and be patient while he learns that you will keep him safe as he can fearful when he thinks he may be hit, he has also been working on overcoming his fearfulness of load noises like the mower or whipper sniper.
Spots sleeps inside at night on his bed or on the kids bed, he is toilet trained and very well behaved he has a great temperament, walks well on a lead, can be headstrong sometimes but responds well to food rewards.
Medical notes
Spots is a happy, healthy boy: desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
