About Indie
My name is Indie and I'm a mixture of Rottweiler, Ridgeback, Border Collie & Mastiff and utterly adorable (or so I've been told). I'm in foster care in a family environment with 4 host dogs and a cat and I just love everyone! I have a sweet loving nature, am super smart but I do get a little anxious when my humans leave me. My foster mum is working hard to help me overcome this issue but will need a person/family who understands this and willing to continue to work through this. I love kids as much as they love me and everyone in my foster home is smitten.
I'm super playful and just love my humans. I love a good snuggle and do see myself as a lapdog :) I will happily follow you about the house and yard just to keep you company. I have shown no aggression whilst in my foster home and am happy to share my food with my foster friends. Cats are intriguing to me, but I don't feel threatened by them and have shown no aggression towards them.
I'm toilet trained, can 'sit', 'drop', 'wait', 'come' and currently being trained with recall. I haven't had alot of experience walking on leash, but am learning more about this in my foster home. I'm hoping to find a family who are willing to put in the effort to continue my training so that I grow up to be a well mannered and sociable young lady.
I travel well in the car and really enjoy heading out with my foster mum. She understands I get stressed when left at home without my humans and probably doesn't want to come home to find some of her things chewed, which is what relieves my stress. I know it's wrong, but we are working hard to overcome this issue. I'm at my best when I have a routine and know what to expect.
My foster mum thinks I would be a great companion dog for someone, a best friend and lifelong companion. My humans are my world and would love nothing more than to spend every moment of every day with them.
To help with my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and me.
I will come microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated. I'm located in Cooronbong, NSW and excited to meet you! I'm available for adoption now.
