Amigo

He has got the looks and the personality to match!

Amigo has got stunning markings and is going to grow up into one of the most handsome dogs around town! But there is more to him than that. He is one of the most affectionate puppies you will ever meet. Amigo loves saying hi to everyone and will go out of his way to greet people. He has lovely manners and enjoys receiving pats and gives lots of kisses in return. You can tell he loves the attention as his tail will go non-stop!

Amigo also loves his creature comforts. When it’s time for his nap, he happily curls up with any willing participants, of the human or dog variety, and loves to snuggle inside or on warm blankets, especially in this cold weather. Amigo also likes to play with toys of pretty much any type and has learnt to enjoy a good old game of tug of war.

During his time in care, Amigo has lived with a variety of dogs, big and small, and has learnt many good social skills. He gets along well with all the dogs he has met and enjoys playtime with them which may involve rumbling or chasing games.

Amigo has also been learning some basic obedience. He walks well on a lead and will sit on command, especially if there is a treat on offer. As with all young pups, he will require further training and we recommend puppy preschool and/or dog training classes to ensure that he remains right on track. We will be looking for a family who are committed to continuing his training. Amigo is very human and treat focused so it is anticipated that training should be pretty easy with him.

We are looking for a home where Amigo will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He is not suited to being left home alone so will require at least a doggy companion but would mostly benefit from having someone who is at home most of the time or can take him to work with them. Amigo will need to be allowed to have access to the home so that he can be with the family and as he feels the cold, he will need a warm bed indoors to sleep on at night.
