About Freya ~ 9wo female Staffy pup (On Trial 14/8/16)
Freya is a 9 week old, female, Staffy puppy. She is 3/4 American Staffy and 1/4 English Staffy. This little girl is such a loving sweet girl. She is the biggest sister of 3 pups and she has a lovely easygoing personality.
Freya and her 2 sisters are beautiful healthy pups who are very quick learners. They are currently being crate trained and toilet trained and haven't had one accident in their crate yet. They will whimper to let you know they need to go outside.
Freya loves her chew toys and playing tug of war with her 2 sisters. They are very playful. She also has doggy foster sisters and brothers who she absolutely loves.
Freya is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them. She has been introduced to cats (she has chased them once, but when the cat put her in her place, all was good!)
Freya will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Freya. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Freya needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Freya's sisters Gypsy and Elsa are also available for adoption.
As Freya is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Freya, please contact Amy on 0413 420 579 by emailing amyg2507@gmail.com. Freya is in the Port Stephens area, NSW (north of Newcastle).
Freya's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
