About Ed ~ Irish Wolfhound x (on trial 18/12/16)
Meet Ed – Ed is a 2 and a half year old Irish Wolfhound x. He is real gentleman, Ed is well mannered, sweet natured and a happy boy. He loves people and is super affectionate. Ed is a little timid at first but soon warms to a kind word and a handshake.
Ed has basic training such as, “sit and down”, walks well on the lead and enjoys a ride in the car. He is eager to learn and to please.
Ed is very well behaved both inside and outside the house and must be allowed to sleep inside. He is house trained and can be left inside when you go out, he patiently lays on his bed (or the lounge) and waits for your return.
Ed is just learning how much fun it is to play with toys and to have doggy friends and is a bit timid when he meets a new dog but this is short lived and it doesn't take long for him to enjoy a game.
Ed is not as tall as a purebred wolfhound but he is still a large dog. Ed would be suited to a family with children over 10 years, due to his size and hasn't been around young children.
Ed’s ideal home would be with people who would spend time with him and make him part of the family. Someone who would show him kindness, patience, understanding and love. Ed has so much love to share and just wants to be wherever you are always ready for a new adventure.
If its companionship you are looking for then Ed is the dog for you.
Foster Carer’s opinion: Absolute sweetheart with an amazing smile. The most affectionate dog ever! Ideal companion.
If you think you could offer Ed a loving, affectionate, active and happy forever home, please contact his foster carer Ace on 0484 183 392 or email vdavies93@gmail.com. Ed is located in Kurri Kurri NSW.
Ed's adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs atwww.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
