About Rose - Rottweiler (on trial 18/07/16)
Rose is a gorgeous 18 month old Rottweiler. She is such a sweet girl with a beautiful affectionate nature. She loves people and gets on well with the other dogs she has met while in foster care. She loves to play tug of war and wrestle with her foster sister, who is also a Rottweiler. Still being a pup she loves to play and toys she can chew on.
She is happy to be out in the backyard to during the day and loves coming inside at night time for a cuddle. She likes to rest her big boofy head on your lap and will fall asleep while getting pats. She is housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go outside to go to the toilet. She has only had a couple of accidents when she first came into foster care.
Rose enjoys going for walks and doesn’t pull at all on the lead or respond to dogs barking when we pass. She is a very quick learner and will sit and wait at roads before we cross, she is very easy to walk.
Rose responds well to reward based training and has come a long way while in foster care. She has learnt to sit, stay and come. She eager to please and will benefit from further training.
Rose has only barked once or twice while in foster care and this has been when her foster sister has been barking at somebody behind the fence. She loves to play with other dogs and could go to a home with another dog or be an only dog as long as she received lots of human attention.
Rose is quite small for a Rottweiler but she is very strong and muscular weighing just over 30kgs. She would be suited to a home with older children so she doesn’t knock them over unintentionally, she loves all the kids she has met so far. Rose can sometimes be so happy to see you she will jump up for a pat, but she is learning very quickly if she sits she will get lots of pats. Rose would be well suited to somebody that will give her the love and affection she needs.
If you think you could offer Rose a loving, affectionate, active and happy forever home, please contact her foster carer Amanda by email amandalloyd83@hotmail.com. Rose is located in Charlestown NSW.
Rose's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
