About Dominique
Dominique loves playing with golf balls. Her carer thinks there are about ten around her apartment. She's full of energy and a very happy cat.
Dominique doesn't just fall in love with people at first sight. It takes a little while for her to warm up. She is a very independent creature but she does enjoy spending part of her time close to her humans (the one she knows). Once trust is established Dominique adores attention and is quick to be near you when you get home at night.
Dominique must live as an only cat in an inside only situation or with a secure cat run to outside. She is the ideal apartment cat. She currently spends the day on her own quite happily. Help us find her a good home for the rest of her life.

Now the sad part of her story. Dominique was rescued from a hoarding situation with 16 undesexed cats.
She was only about 9 months old and couldn't sit properly and occasionally would cry from pain when she stretched. She had very swollen lymph nodes. We weren't sure what was happening - we had lots of testing done and different diagnoses. Finally we took her to Dr Kim Lim in Geelong who found she had a spinal kink. She manipulated her back and all is now good. This was most likely from constant attacks from the other cats.
No Dominique cannot stand any other cats near her at all. She so detests them that she may even redirect her scratching to her person.
But have her in her own space with nothing to fear from cats and you couldn’t meet a happier more confident cat.
She so deserves a good home.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you too as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
