About Kaiya
Hi my name is Kaiya, although my foster parents call me Pip. I am a beautiful short haired black and white female border collie. I am very pretty and have black spots on my front legs. The vets think I am around 10 months old. I had to learn my new name when I came into rescue and am now responding to that pretty well, but will also come to a whistle
I am living with 3 other border collies and cats. I get on really well with cats. I am good with other dogs and great with children. I may jump if excited especially when you come home but I am learning not to and will be better with ongoing training. Ideally love to be in a home with another dog or one on one with my owner. I don't bark at night. I have a kennel outside with the other dogs. I need to be toilet trained if I became an inside dog. But would learn very quickly.
I am great in the car. I love my toys but I'm not a destroyer. Although I do have dogs to play with still I will need regular exercise, after all I am a border collie.
I do need to learn to wait to enter doors and exit gates. I can be a bit pushy but again am getting better and will benefit from further training. I am learning to sit and wait. I am walking off lead and a good sitter. I am a kind gentle girl and would love a family / person who will invest time with some ongoing training so I become a truly great companion and family member.
