Monty ~Border Collie X Kelpie (on trial 20/08/16)

Introducing Monty! The gorgeous 10 week old, Male Border Collie x Kelpie puppy. He will grow up to be a medium sized dog.

Monty is a beautiful boy and loves to play and have lots of puppy cuddles. Monty is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Monty. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.

Monty will require regular walking and housing with 6ft colourbond fencing with plenty of room to run around. Please note applications with residences that have rural fencing will not be considered.

Being a Border Collie x Kelpie, Monty will need a family who are committed to giving him regular exercise and socialisation. Working dogs are smart and they need to burn their energy with lots of exercise and brain stimulating activities such as food puzzles toys and games so this energy does not manifest in negative ways.

Monty is not yet trained, and we always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

As Monty is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as he will need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he’s 5 months old.
