Angus ~ Border Collie x Kelpie pupp(Trial 17/7/16)

Brad Pitt’s got nothing on this little guy! Let’s face it, his looks are what made you click on his profile am I right? The traditional Border Collie brown and white are highlighted with caramel brown Kelpie markings and he has light green eyes to boot. It’s true Angus is going to be a spectacularly good looking dog, but that is just where it starts!

Angus is the biggest of his 8 siblings and will grow to be possibly on the larger size of medium. His coat is teddy bear soft and his personality is adorable. He is not keen on being left alone and will definitely let you know when he is hungry, but once his needs have been met he is just a cool little pup!

He likes to rough and tumble with the other dogs and will use his working dog instinct to stalk the other pups. We have nick named him Roly because well, he is a bit of a barrel and loves his and everyone else’s food. He is currently being fed a combination of cooked rice and chicken mince, dry food, wet food, porridge and puppy milk.

Angus currently sleeps inside in a heated room and has meals and playtime outside. He is happy to explore the yard and play with the other dogs. He’s been having fun in a ball pit and playing with soft toys, but mostly loves to play with his brothers and sister.

His little tum needs filling 4 times a day at the moment and he will then sleep through the night. This will need to be taken into account by anyone looking to adopt a small pup as they need time through the day in the early stages. He will not be suitable for a household where he is left alone for long periods of time.

Angus will be an exceptional dog for a family who are committed to giving him regular exercise and socialisation. Working dogs are smart and they need to burn their energy with lots of exercise and brain stimulating activities such as food puzzles toys and games so this energy does not manifest in negative ways.

He is very people focused and would be happy with another doggy brother or sister for company. Angus is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He will require regular walking and housing with 6ft colourbond fencing with plenty of room to run around. Please note applications with residences that have rural fencing will not be considered.

Angus is not yet trained, and we always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.

As Angus is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens as he will need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he’s 5 months old.

Angus’s adoption fee is only $600 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping.
