About Max
Meet Max, a stunning active boy who has found himself back into rescue, due to no fault of his own. He is in foster care in our kennel facilities, where he is getting some dog socialisation. Max is an active boy true to his breed and well natured.
Although Max has not had exposure to children previously, he has a friendly personality with people and would enjoy playtime in the backyard with active older children. He is learning his doggie manners and will need ongoing guidance with this. Max can walk on a lead well, but does tend to pull. He has not shown any destructive behaviour whilst in care, and proving to be a beautiful dog.
Balls and dog toys really aren't Max's thing and tends to just watch the other host dogs play fetch and tug a war. He has been tested with both cats and chickens and is not a fan of either, so will need a home without either of these.
During his time at our kennel facilities, Max has shown a dislike to certain dogs. He does show some dominance towards dogs who are less confident and submissive. He did however become great friends with a young Cattle dog who matched Max's energy and has been fine with various other dogs while there.
Max is learning to SIT and WAIT for his food and come when called. As he was an only dog in his previous home, he could be homed as an only dog or with another active friendly dog. Max will require obedience training, so a person/family would need to be committed to doing this. He is a smart boy and learning fast what is expected of him.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Max.
Max has had all his vet work done and is now awaiting meets with the potential to adopt. He is located in Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast, NSW.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
