About Chewie
Please note, Chewie is best suited to an adult only home.
When Chewie joined us nearly 18 months ago he was underweight, withdrawn and had fly bitten ears. After a good few months of training, conditioning and medical treatments this young man has come leaps and bounds.
Chewie is sweet natured, playful, affectionate and now knows lots of basic commands. He has lovely door manners, beautiful meal time manners and checks in with his humans. He is house trained and he doesn't destroy yards - or anything for that matter!
Chewie is a very people orientated young pooch who is still waiting to find his perfect forever family (what?! 😱).
Ultimately Chewie is looking for an adult home where he can just hang with his peeps, go on a daily stroll with them and receive all of the pats. His future perfect people would also (very easily) manage his arthritis through diet, gentle exercise and semi regular check ups. ...knowing this guy as well as we do, we can't believe that someone out there is missing out on everything this gorgeous guy has to offer.
Chewie would love a home where he is the only dog.
This lovely boy who is still waiting for his forever people is:
- Crate trained
- Has lovely indoor manners
- house trained.
- 'waits' for his dinner
- travels very well in the car
- is very responsive to training
- knows many commands
- loves a good pat (but doesn't like rough housing)
- will adore you for the rest of his life if you give him the chance.
Medical notes
Chewie has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. This is managed with a good diet and exercise to maintain a healthy weight that does not put unnecessary stress on his joints.
