About Betty ~ senior foxy (17/10/16 adopted by carer)
Betty is a beautiful 13 year old Fox Terrier with an enormous heart. She is a lovely, affectionate girl who loves adults and children alike. She is very obedient and responds to her name and directions.
Betty is housetrained and uses a doggie door. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She absolutely loves human company. She is so happy sitting next to her owners on the lounge or on her doggie bed.
This friendly girl is very gentle and loves to follow you around like a shadow. Betty has had some bad experiences with other dogs in the past and would be much better as an only dog.
Betty is relaxed in her style of play. She enjoys a gentle game of tug-o-war. She loves short walks and is a pleasure to walk. She strolls along at a moderate pace and doesn't pull on the lead.
Betty's ideal home would be with a senior who loves giving affection, love and cuddles.
For more information or to meet Betty, please contact her foster carer Bec on 0415 698 948 (preferred) or email little_yellow_ducky@live.com.au. Betty is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Betty's adoption fee is only $100 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
