About Chloe
Hi everyone my name is Chloe and I’m pretty sure that, not only am I adorable, but also a very sweet-natured, adaptable eight-year old girl.
However, I am really sad at the moment because I don’t seem to be able to find a home that is the “right fit”.
I think it’s because I sometimes bark during the night when I hear noises outside when, apparently, I’m supposed to be asleep like my humans. I don’t do it when I first arrive but, once I feel comfortable and I am liking my new home, I do it because I just want to make sure that my new family are safe and protected! I promise that I am a good girl and all I want to do is potter around, nap, spend time with you inside and be part of the family. I am also kind and gentle, don’t rush around the house or get pushy; I just want to be close to you. It would also be best if I was the only fur-baby as I don't like sharing my humans with other animals as I get snappy with them, especially other dogs.
The nice people at GSRV said that I may need a thing called a “citronella collar” to help with the barking and that they would also help my new family to work through this with a person that they call a “behaviourist”.
If you end up being my new forever home I would really love it if you could keep me company when I first arrive. After having been in that horrible place called a “shelter” I was on my own a lot and didn’t like it all! It was noisy and busy and cold. It would be even better if you were home most of the time so that I am not left alone all day every day.
I forgot to mention earlier that I am house-trained and not at all food aggressive and will take food very gently from your hand. I do pull a bit on the lead when I go for walks but it’s just because it’s so exciting to get out and about as I never got to do it that much before.
Do you think that you could be my forever family and help me overcome some of my issues with patience, understanding, training and perseverance? I promise that I will reward you by being a loyal, loving and protective addition to the family.
I am sure there must be a family out there somewhere who has experience with German Shepherds and training them; could it be you?
