About Sammy ~ Beagle x (Adopted by carer 22/08/16)
Sammy is a beautiful 13 month old Beagle cross (possibly kelpie), Sammy is a medium to large size dog. He has a glossy low maintenance coat and exquisite markings.
Sammy has an extremely affectionate and playful personality, loves company, gets along well with and loves other dogs. He responds well to training, knows sit on command, wait and down. He is fully house trained and must be allowed to sleep inside at night time.
Sammy will occasionally bark but is not a nuisance barker. He loves going on excursions in the car and playing with all his cuddly toys.
Sammy would be best suited to a family with time to continue his training and also give him the attention he loves and ideally another dog he can become friends with and play throughout the day, preferably a large yard where he could get lots of exercise.
As he is quite boisterous Sammy may not be suitable for families with young children just in case he knocks them over in his enthusiasm. He is going to make a wonderful, loyal family member for the right family.
For more information or to meet Sammy, please contact Donna 0466 099 426 or email trudgetty@hotmail.com. Sammy is in foster care in Newcastle and is available for adoption interstate.
Sammy's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
