About Lovely Lani *Adoption Pending*
Love heelers?Love staffies? This girl is the perfect blend of both, built like a staffy who fell into a pot of heeler paint! Lani is a loyal, loving, playful and affectionate little lady who is just desperate to be in a home all of her own.
Lani's story is a common but nevertheless heart-breaking one, of mistreatment of abandonment. Lani has not been relentlessly abused, but has experienced beatings and chaining as 'punishment.'
She is an excellent loyal companion and as a bonus you get a terrific guard dog.. Lani's previous family experienced a relationship breakup and she was left behind by her owner with his ex, who is now moving and can't have a dog at her new home. Poor Lani had to go.
This oh so sweet girl has discovered a whole new world since moving into a foster home! In her previous life she barely left the property and so going to a new place was pretty terrifying to begin with. But now she is living the life! Daily walks, playing in the backyard and sleeping inside to watch TV ( instead of chained in the backyard). She even sneaks up on the couch sometimes...:)
Lani is best suited to a home with children over 12 years and no livestock or small animals (cats, rabbits and chickens are WAY too interesting!) She does not get on with other female dogs but has lived with a male in the past and is generally friendly with similar-sized, social male dogs. A companion canine could really help her live life to the fullest! Lani is a great jogging companion and really needs her daily exercise to keep her fit. She has an intelligent, inquiring mind and would benefit from food puzzles etc when left home alone. Lani will need a new home with secure fencing as she may want to follow you to work or the pub just because she loves you so much!
Lani is a really lovable girl who deserves the best second chance ever. Can you give her that chance?
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
