The name is Shady, Slim Shady (the real one). Don't be fooled by my tough-guy name, I am one super-snuggly pup!
I started from the bottom but now I'm here and I've got one shot, one opportunity to find my forever home. I am incredibly affectionate and love cuddling up to my foster humans every chance I get. I have a few favourite chew toys and will do almost anything for a belly rub.
I have just learned how to sit and go to the bathroom outside, which I picked up really quickly thanks to the lure of my favourite treats! I respond well to verbal praise and physical affection.I'm looking for a family I can lavish with affection, who will love me just as much as I love them.
MY IDEAL HOME: I ADORE people - so much! - so a couple or family who have a lot of time to play with me would be ideal, as well as an outdoor area for me to explore. My foster mums call me their shadow because I follow them everywhere.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Most of the time I'm pretty docile and happy to snuggle up with you on the couch. I take some convincing to get out of the house, but once I'm outside I love it! The beach is my favourite.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am more than happy to let children pat and play with me. I've met toddlers and teenagers alike and get along with absolutely everyone! I'm constantly getting stopped by people on the street to tell me how cute I am. It's pretty bad for my street cred, but I secretly love it.
MY SUITABILITY TO DOGS AND CATS: I'm a bit of a sook when it comes to cats and other dogs, but my foster mums have done a great job socialising me, and my confidence grows every day. I will stay close by your side in the dog park, unless there's another Staffy around - then my rambunctious side will come out. If you already have furry members of your family, with a little introduction I'm sure I could fit into any gang!

We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
