About Winston
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Winston is a very special boy, but a typical beagle in every way! He loves going for walks, and enjoys been cuddled all day long. He's lived his entire life indoors, and absolutely hates rain - one of his favourite pastimes is sitting on the back deck soaking up the sun.
This very clever fellow has been attending obedience classes in recent years and knows lots of cool tricks. He's even learned how to open doors!
Winston likes his own space, so younger, inquisitive children are not an ideal match for his personality. He's looking to be paired up with a loving, patient, experienced dog owner where he can live with you happy 'fur'ever after.
MY IDEAL HOME: Somewhere nice and calm please, with a warm indoor bed and a nice backyard or garden where I can go for a sniff.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. I adore going for a walk - and I definitely need a daily trot around the block to keep my weight in check, as I loooove food! - but I do get puffed out after not too long and will sleep for the rest of the day. Although I'm a big fan of the dog park, you should keep me on my leash as I tend to 'follow my nose'!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I currently live with older children, who are great. I'm not at my best around younger kids unfortunately.
MY SUITABILITY TO DOGS AND CATS: I could be very happy living with another dog. As I love a good chase, a household with resident cats, rabbits or other small pets is not going to work, sorry!

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
