About Mona (Dog/Cat Friendly)
Hi, I am Mona, a 1 yo Kelpie and My foster mum says I am pretty much perfect. I was in a pound and they gave me 4 bouncy puppies to look after and I did it really, really well but now it is my time to find my perfect home. I am living with 5 other dogs of all ages, a cat and five chooks. I get on well with all of them except I am still a bit too keen to chase the chooks but seeing as I am a super fast learner that should be easy to fix. I know lots of things already; I come immediately when I am called, sit, lie down, get down and go to my bed when asked and I am always listening and watching my foster mum to work out what she wants me to do next. I love nothing more than to follow her everywhere and sit by her. I don’t jump on furniture or people or the bed and I don’t chew things. I have no food aggression and I love all people including children. I am very gentle. Although I am a young working breed dog I do not get crazy if I do not have heaps of exercise but I will need someone to walk me every day and teach me lots of new things because I am super smart. My ideal home would be with someone who is there a lot of the time because I love company and I will cuddle up to you as many times as you will let me. I like the other dogs but I most of all love my foster mum so I would not need another dog if you are with me a lot. I might get lonely if you go out though so if you have another dog like me who likes a little bit of gentle playing and who could let me know it’s alright and you will be back that would be perfect. Because I have not been out in the world a lot I still get a bit of a fright now and then so I need to go lots of places with you and see lots of new things. I am over the silly puppy stage and ready to run, play and walk with you and I want a best mate to give loads of love to.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Mona, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Mona.
