Hello there

Are you after a gentle and affectionate Husky cross to add to your family?

Then look no further my name is Shanook and I am ready to go to my new home!

I was surrendered to the RSPCA as my previous owner fell ill and could no longer look after me.

I am loved by all staff here at the RSPCA Yagoona shelter for my sweet and beautiful nature. I absolutely love human interaction and I will nudge your hands for more pats... I would benefit from someone that is home a lot and is able to allow me inside and include me in daily activities.

I love my daily walks and get really excited to go out. I am not too keen on other dogs (although I have lived with a small breed dog before) so please avoid meeting other dogs on our walks and certainly no dog park dates for me either...

I need an owner that has a solid knowledge (or even better experience) with Arctic breeds as we are quite unique in character and tend to be vocal too!

I am not too keen on close restraint and handling so please tell your vet to go slow when examining me. Also for this reason I am not suited to young kids as they might not understand my/their limits. To be honest I am big softie and I would be happiest with an equally gentle guardian.
