About Kai ~ border collie x puppy (on trial 7/7/16)
Handsome boy Kai is a very cute 10 week old boy. He is a border collie cross, possibly crossed with a Staffy. This little bundle of cuteness loves to be around people and is very social. loves to come inside and play. He plays well with the other dogs and doesn't seem to mind having the cats around. Kai loves to play with toys. He is a very gentle boy and has a soft nature.
Kai will be a medium sized dog once fully grown, and is short haired so minimal grooming required.
Kai is a typical puppy so he will benefit from more socialization and training. He will also require regular exercise so he doesn't get bored. He has been in foster care with young children and he adores them. He would suit a active family who wants a dog to be a part of the family. He needs to sleep inside.
As Kai is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's 4 or 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Kai, please contact his foster carer Amanda on 0438 660 547 or email cazmorris@yahoo.com.au. Kai is in foster care in Rutherford NSW 2320 (west of Newcastle).
Kai's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
