About T-Rex
Rex is a high fiving smoochy boy, who will be your smiling happy shadow. He just loves to follow you round the house doing every day tasks and to just hang out with you snuggling on the couch or watching you tap away on your laptop. If you like to run he'll be with you every step of the way, your constant pacesetter. He's brilliant on recall and will not stray far, and is very good at sitting to have the lead put on and off. His walking on lead will be great after a bit of puppy training school, and has already improved greatly with a harness. He's quick to learn and eager to please.
He's had a few homes in his 8 months, so can be timid and nervous when he first meets you, but we're socializing him with a lot of different things, people and dogs and his confidence is growing every day. He loves hanging out with our 9 year old grumpy pooch (and she actually quite likes him — almost a first for her), and always looks forward to seeing the other dogs at the dog park. He's had a couple accidents when he first came to us, but now is using the garden so 'pretty much' toilet trained. Also, he licked a lot when he first came to us but after a day he stopped and doesn't nip or bite. We haven't tested him with kids, but I think he would love the attention of them and would be extremely patient and happy to be pulled, patted, hugged and carried/dragged :)
He's an inside foster (with access to outside during the day when we are at work) and being ~15 kgs I would think will need to remain being inside, and being part of the family.
Rex would love to meet you. Fill out the application form below to come and meet him at his foster home in Yarraville.
