Rocco ~ (on trial 7/7/16)

Rocco is a 3 month old large mixed breed puppy (possibly wolfhound, mastiff, and/or shar-pei). He is named after Rocky Balboa, the boxer not the Picture Show. This little guy gets knocked down but he will not stay there. Rocco was rescued from the pound, underweight, bit of an attitude (towards food and other dogs) and discovered a couple of days later, an abscess in his mouth. Did he complain? No. Did he not eat? No. Did he not play? No. He was a dream at the vets while they poked and prodded but they also oohed and ahhed and who wouldn’t - just look at that face.

Rocco's attitude towards dogs and food has greatly improved. He is a fast learner. He can sit, drop and is learning to shake hands and to wait for the OK to eat his food. Rocco is toilet trained but will go inside if he cannot access outside as he's too young to have full control. He sleeps in the laundry, he rarely fusses through the night but may need to become accustomed to his new home. He needs to sleep inside at least until he's fully grown.

Rocco likes car rides, walks on the beach, his coat and playing with his big friends. He has not been tested with cats. He can be left alone but would prefer the company of his family or furry friend. For a little dog he can have a big dog voice.
