Dax ~ 1yo Jack Russell x boy (On Trial 2/7/16)

Dax is a cute 1 year old Jack Russell X boy. He loves his humans and wants to be around them as much as possible.

Dax enjoys being inside and would prefer to sleep inside. He would be best in a home where he has the choice of being inside or out. He hasn’t had any accidents inside. He is also learning some basic commands, but further training is needed. Dax can whine when not around his humans, but he is settling quickly. He will need ongoing training and patience to learn that it is ok to be alone sometimes.

Dax loves to run around and is learning to play games. His favourite things are cuddles and attention, but he also likes his walks. He has lots of energy so he would like to have a family who will walk him every day. Dax does jump when he is excited so he would not be suitable for smaller children, but he would be fine in a home with older children.
Dax is ok with his foster dog sister, but does not like his foster dog brother so a home with other dogs may be considered if the dog was female, otherwise Dax would do best in a home by himself so that he can be spoilt. He would not do well in a home with cats as he is a little too interested in his feline foster siblings. Dax has not been tested around pocket pets but his interest in cats would indicate that pocket pets are also not suitable with him.

Dax’s new home would have to be dedicated to ongoing training and regular exercise to burn some of his energy. With this ongoing dedication and training from his new family, Dax will be a loving, cuddly best friend.
