About Sweet Isabella
The Urban Dictionary describes the name Isabella as: "an amazing, energetic, smart, styling, rocking, funny, gorgeous girl. She laughs at everything, and is almost always smiling". This description really does suit this petite pocket-rocket black beauty.
On first meeting, Isabella is incredibly shy and whilst appearing to be a delicate little doll, she will surprise you with her impish sense of humour and playfulness – before you know it she turns into squiggly noodle wanting to play.
Isabella would enjoy being part of a busy, happy family. She loves little bursts of running and playing ball with her humans and other dogs. (The canines just need to be a suitable size for her fine build (25kg) and not too big and heavy). So far, she seems to have a healthy respect of cats, so friends could certainly be made with the right introductions.
She is currently learning to walk on the lead and trying to calm her excitement at all the wonderful smells there are out in the big wide world. She loves walking with another dog and often turns her head to glance at her puppy partner with a gleeful smile on her face and an extra skip in her step. She has just had her first visit to the doggie park and got on really well with small fluffy dogs.
Isabella really is a delightful little soul who is happy to sit on her little bed or the lounge, as long as someone is around. If you move rooms she will quietly tiptoe behind you and plop down until you move again. She is extremely keen to please and it would be rewarding for her to continue with gentle guidance/reinforcement of basic training whilst supporting her happy disposition. It would not be suitable for Isabella to be left alone all day, ie. fulltime worker away from home. She really thrives on having some human engagement/support as she makes her transition from racing kennels to life as a beloved pet.
Because greyhounds have little natural padding, Isabella will need to sleep inside on comfortable bedding and wear soft pyjamas and coats in the cooler months. She has lovely indoor manners.

Adoption details
If the pet's profile suits, prospective owners can contact the carer initially via email link to discuss. A meeting with the dog can be arranged and an application submitted. A home inspection is required. It is important that dog goes to the right home and living situation. Greyhounds are generally 'indoor dogs' and best not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company much of the time.
