About Snugglepot Zac
Talk, dark and handsome, 3 yr-old Zac will impress you with his quiet charm and gentle manners. This beautiful boy is highly affectionate and will want to cuddle up next to you on the couch and place his chin on your shoulder or his head in your lap.
Zac is highly suited to be in a family environment with children. His gentle nature and easy compliance means he enjoys pats and strokes from multiple little hands. He has a beautiful soft silky coat and is really like a big black teddy bear... and who doesn't love a teddy bear?
Conversely, Zac would be over the moon to share his love with an adult or two as long as he wasn't left alone for too many hours. He is young and intelligent and deserves some human engagement during the day. Besides – it would be a crime to let all those hours of possible smooching go to waste! Maybe you work from home... maybe you can take your dog with you to work? It is worth mentioning that he is extremely fond of males (some ex-racing greys have had negative experiences with males and view them with caution).
Zac could also fit into a home where there is a child/adult with Special Needs who would enjoy the mountains of love a dog like this can bring. He has a very happy disposition and is generally unfazed by noise, movement and being touched.
Zac loves going on a walk an is great on the lead. He loves meeting people! As with any young, vital dog, a daily walk (preferably in the morning) means calmer energy at home. He will probably have a snooze afterwards, too.
Zac is very friendly with other dogs he meets but is still wondering what the small fluffy versions are. His progress with small dogs is going well – he just needs more exposure. He gets along perfectly with his mid-large size canine flatmates – extremely easy going. Probably best without cats. His favourite animals are definitely human.
He likes his toys and loves to play – his current favourite toy is a pink pig that he takes great delight in prancing around with whilst loudly squeaking.
Like most greyhounds Zac likes to be inside with you and requires soft bedding and comfortable places to sit. He will definitely want to sit next to you on the lounge. Greyhounds have little body fat and do feel the cold, so soft doggie pyjamas and coats are needed in cooler months.
Zac really loves human companionship and bonds very easily. He exhibits good self esteem and makes confident eye contact with you. It is easy to forget that he is only new to 'pet' life, so some extra practice of newly learnt skills like 'down', 'come' and 'stay' will please him greatly. His beautiful loving nature means he is an exceptionally touchy, feely kind of guy. And – who can resist one that is utterly so good looking?
If you would like a big snugglepot lovebug in your life, please get in touch to meet Zac.

Adoption details
If the pet's profile suits, prospective owners can contact the carer initially via email link to discuss. A meeting with the dog can be arranged and an application submitted. A home inspection is required. It is important that dog goes to the right home and living situation. Greyhounds are generally 'indoor dogs' and best not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company much of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
