About Tori ~ (on trial 11/07/16)
Introducing lovable and smiley Tori! Tori is a gorgeous 2 year old Cattle Dog x Kelpie who loves nothing more than to get cuddles and be by your side. Tori loves meeting people, she’ll happily become new friends with anyone she meets. She is happy-go-lucky and outgoing, but also incredibly loving, gentle and affectionate.
Tori is very intelligent and a quick learner – she knows basic commands such as sit, shake, come, and knows to wait for her dinner when asked. She has a huge desire to please you and responds so well to positive rewards that she would do well with advanced training. She would also thrive in an environment where she had the opportunity to learn dog sports like Flyball or Agility.
Tori is great with other dogs – she is currently living in foster care with adult dogs and she is wonderful with them. She would suit a family with an existing dog, and would be fine as an only dog as well. She isn’t in foster care with children, however due to her medium size and active energy level we feel she would be best in a home with older kids who are already confident with young, active dogs, and who wouldn’t be tripped over accidentally during play. Tori is an indoor/outdoor dog – she loves inside time curled up with her family, and she also enjoys a good romp in the yard with her canine and human friends. She hasn’t been exposed to small pets like cats, birds or rabbits since being in foster care – she will need a quiet and controlled introduction to make sure her curiosity and energy doesn’t scare them. Tori is toilet trained, doesn’t bark and isn’t a chewer or digger either!!
Tori would be ideal for a family with an active outdoorsy lifestyle – being young and energetic she would love a daily walk and would also be ideal as a jogging or running companion. She walks well on lead and will happily meet others when out on a walk. If you live near parks, or beaches she would love to join you on your outings. She would also be perfect for small acreage or a hobby farm where she has lots of opportunities to play and hang out with her humans.
If you have lots of love to give, a home where Tori can stretch her legs and a warm cosy inside bed where she can curl up at night then please call
Kristina on 0430 110 760 or email kikii1987@hotmail.com . Tori is in foster care in Tighes Hill, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Tori's adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
