About Kepler
Meet Kepler, a gorgeous sweet Wolfhound cross mix male of 2 years. Kepler was taken in by wally's Doggie Rescue from Gosford Dog Paws a few weeks back, after spending more than 7 months of his short life in the kennel environment.
Kepler is currently in foster care, in a family environment in Point Frederick, on the Central Coast and living with two female foster carers and two small breed senior dogs who are 13 and 14 years old (Male and Female).
Due to Kepler finding himself in the pound, we are unsure of his background and up bringing. From what we can gather, Kepler has been abused by a male owner in the past, and his next home we would suggest a female ONLY owner or same sex couple. Kepler is very unsure around some males, but has been find around dog experienced male owners, with SLOW introductions. Kepler is currently under going Dog Obedience Training and Socialisation Skills at Wyong Dog Training.
Kepler will require a confident and dog savy owner, who has large dog breed experience. Kepler is fully INSIDE toilet trained, can SIT and SHAKE and has perfect RECALL. Kepler does pull strongly on the lead, and still requires work with this. He is being trained on a gentle leader to also assist his lead work. Kepler hasn't had much exposure to the outside world and is unsure how to behave out and about. Kepler will require 6 foot colourbond fences and is NOT good with pocket pets or cats.
A meet and greet of the gorgeous Kepler can be arranged.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Kepler, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home (Permission from your landlord a MUST), what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ . So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Kepler.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
