About Lucy ~ bull terrier x cattle dog (Trial 23/9/16)
Introducing Lucy, bull terrier x cattle dog, 18 weeks old. This little pup is a bit shy at times but just loves a cuddle. She loves to sit next to us and get a pat and will soak up all the love you can give her. Once she knows you she will smother you with puppy kisses.
Lucy loves to play with our children and will happily play with dogs of all sizes. She is a little cautious of cats but is learning that they are not as scary as they look so she is fine to live with them.
Lucy will suit a home with someone who has dog experience. She will need training and socialization like all puppies. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
As Lucy is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens areas because she'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when she's 5 months old.
Lucy's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
