Having trouble getting started on these cold winter days? Then let Maddie greet you in the morning with a big slobbery kiss! Maddie’s always overjoyed to see you, even if you’ve just been out of the room for a few minutes. Although her greatest joy is receiving human affection, Maddie is also capable of entertaining herself when she needs to, and is very cute when she throws a toy around for herself to chase.

Maddie would love to have a human with her all the time, but would settle for companionship from a similarly-sized dog (she can be a bit boisterous with small ones). Her ideal canine companion would have a submissive personality, as she likes to be top dog! She’s living successfully with two cats in foster care, and although she’ll try to chase them if they run around outside, she’ll stop when she’s called. For this reason we recommend any cat/s and Maddie are not outside at the same time, unsupervised. Maddie is too bouncy for young children, but would be a great companion for older ones. She’s quick to learn, and would respond well to training on how to play safely.

Maddie is a small solid girl with a pretty brown muzzle, a white tip on her tail, and beautiful big brown eyes. She’s making great progress learning to be a pet, and at only two and a half years old, she has many wonderful years of fun and companionship to give her forever family.
