“Hugo”, Fits in Anywhere. Brisbane

Hugo is everything you could want in a greyhound: gentle, easy-going, loving, smart and adaptable. Hugo has settled easily into foster care, and has already learned to climb stairs, eat a variety of foods, and (almost) recognise his name. He also knows what ‘no’ means, although he’s hardly ever naughty – just the occasional nibble on a shoe, sock or unsupervised rubbish bin!

Hugo is happy with a 20–30 minute walk each day, and also enjoys longer walks when the opportunity arises. He doesn’t get anxious when his foster carers go out, although when they’re home he likes to be near them. He’d be fine as an only dog provided he was not left on his own for more than 4 hours per day. He also plays nicely with large or small dogs. Hugo has not yet been tested with cats, but we suspect he could live happily with inside cats.

Like many greyhounds, Hugo’s favourite habit is snoozing upside-down in hilarious positions! Hugo’s one great disappointment is that his foster carers’ bed is too high for him to jump on, and he gazes at it longingly with his big, pleading eyes.

With his stunning good looks and all-rounder personality, we’re sure that Hugo will be snapped up quickly. His foster carers say he would fit into just about any household, as long as he gets what every greyhound needs: care, companionship and a comfy bed!
