About Petey
Hi, I'm Petey and even though my family of 8 years just moved house and decided I was surplus to requirements I am still itching to be a loyal boy who really loves human company. I will sit and cuddle you while you watch your favourite tv show and follow you round the garden while you do your chores.
I think my best friend could be an older person who wants a devoted companion but I could also be very happy with a family with older children. Umm so, I will love you so much that I will jump up you to get your affection so you may need to teach me some manners if you don't like that.
I love to go for rides in the car and although I am quiet I will surely let you know if someone is about! I am not suited to living with chickens or other small animals but I am good with cats and other dogs once I settle in and make friends.
I really just want my own special human/s to retire with and enjoy my old age.

If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
