About Spencer
Spencer is a super handsome boy with a gorgeous personality to match his looks. Spencer loves to play fetch, adores a thorough patting session, and is quite chilled out. He is not so keen on younger children as they are a little bit too noisy for him, but he would be great with older children. Spencer enjoys playing and especially loves to chase a balled up shopping docket (he will even get it out of the bin if you don't give it to him to play with)!
Spencer has only every been an inside cat. He is great at using his litter tray and is a very well behaved boy.
He is particularly fond of cuddling with you on the couch and keeping you warm at night. He could possibly live with another cat or a cat-friendly dog, with an appropriate introduction. Or he would be very happy as your one and only!
Spencer was surrendered to the clinic as his owners were moving overseas and unfortunately they couldn't pack him too :(
Medical notes
Since Spender has been with us, we have found out that he has Partial Feline Diabetes. This affects his insulin which means that his body does not move sugar (glucose) from his bloodstream into his cells. To help him remain healthy, Spencer requires an injection every day and night (at the same time) along with a special diet that will help to manage his weight and glucose levels.
We understand that adopting Spencer is a big responsibility for anyone to take on, but we also know he is well worth it. We are offering to provide his special diet at cost price for the rest of his life as a thank you for taking him on.
