About Mandy
Mandy arrived at the shelter very dirty scared and cold. She snuggled up with staff for the day quickly becoming very popular with staff for cuddles!
She does enjoy playing with other puppies here at the shelter but if you already have another dog and you are thinking of adopting Mandy please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet her so we can see how they interact. Mandy should be introduced to any other pets in the household slowly and under supervision.
Puppy preschool would be fantastic for Mandy not only to learn to follow basic commands but also to socialise with the other puppies and people and learn a fancy trick or two! If you have children the classes are a great opportunity for them to learn how to handle and interact with Mandy in a calm and safe manner so please encourage them to participate too.
Being a working breed Mandy is very clever and active so she needs and active family who can provide her with plenty of daily exercise and interactive playtime such as teaching her to play fetch. Once Mandy is fully vaccinated she needs to start going for daily walks increasing in time and distance as she grows.
To ensure Mandy is kept safe and secure she will need a large yard which has colourbond fences and gates that are at least 5ft high and in good condition with no gaps or footholes.
